Plett Rage is the longest running and arguably largest student festival in the Southern Hemisphere! It caters for students that are celebrating the end of high school, and includes beach events, sports competitions, brand activations and SA’s top music acts. Plett Rage unofficially started off as a few hundred students migrating to Plett for a few days in the early 80’s for good times and to celebrate the summer. Fast forward to today and Rage is now days of partying at awesome festival venues, 300 staff to help you and of course 15,000 of your fellow students rocking it out to the biggest and best of SA’s live and electronic music scene.

CANSA Shavathon is one of South Africa's best-loved events in support of a very worthy cause, namely showing solidarity with those affected by cancer. Losing one's hair is a common side-effect of cancer therapy - so shaving your head has become a symbolic gesture of support for cancer surviviors. Colouring your hair or paying a 'Bail-Out Fee' have bcome options for those who prefer not to shave, or who can't shave on the day.

The release is a collaboration between Tenikwa Wildlife Rehabilitation and Awareness Centre, Nature’s Valley Trust, BirdLife Plettenberg Bay and CapeNature, and is supported by BirdLife South Africa, and Plett Tourism. Members of the public are encouraged to come to experience the moment and can meet the team near the Lemongrass Parking area. Adult and juvenile African Penguins are often seen in the waters around Plettenberg Bay and are occasionally found on the beaches, injured or sick. When a penguin gets stranded in and around Plett, they are taken to Tenikwa Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre for the care they need to become fit and healthy and, of course, to be released into the wild again.

The Eden to Addo Great Corridor Hike is an expedition for and about conservation. You will experience 5 of South Africa’s 7 biomes and probably some of the wildest areas in South Africa. You will be part of a small, exclusive group of maximum 20 people that makes its way to Addo. There is no organised trail to follow. You will walk through areas where the last truly free elephants, black rhino and buffalo still roam without fences to hamper their movement. You will follow the spoor of leopard, bush buck and red hartebeest.

The KKNK is an Afrikaans language event with smatterings of English on the festival programme. It is known to be one of South Africa’s largest arts and culture festivals. Every year it attracts thousands of visitors and over 200 performances. You can be sure that this festival will knock your socks off with a superb recipe of entertainment comprising myriad genres of music, dance, theatre, comedy, visual arts and kids theatre. The main streets are closed off to traffic and become lined with street food vendors, buskers and swathes of festival goers.

This is a Motorcycle only rally - no cars will be permitted into the camping area. On Saturday, show and shine bikes will arrive at Garden Route Casino’s main parking area at 11h00 for a public exhibition, allowing guests to admire the motorbikes and interact with the owners. This will be followed by a thrilling stunt show by The Le Riche Brothers, which kicks off at 12h00. And for those who want even more, guests can look forward to gastronomic delights, delicious beverages and live music in the Casino’s popular Bravo Lounge.

The Race is loosely based on the TV series "The Amazing Race". It is NOT an extreme event and open to all. Teams of 4 participants (in cars) will follow cryptic directional clues to navigate from one pitstop to the next. Teams will also be given a series of questions; the answers to which will be found on the route. Points will be awarded for every question answered correctly. At each pitstop participants will be required to perform FUN activities.

2019 information - This year a number of marques are being honoured by special celebrations of their centenaries, and cars from this period on display will include the halcyon era between 1925 and 1940. Think The Great Gatsby, Clark Gable, Marlene Dietrich and the unspeakably elegant cars that they drove, and you will be on the right track! A unique part of the show’s huge appeal to enthusiasts and public alike is that it is held in very beautiful surrounds bordering on the Knysna Waterfront, on the sports fields of the Knysna High School. The area is easily able to accommodate around 400 cars and motorcycles, as well as extensive hospitality and food and beverage areas, and also includes specialised displays for companies associated with the classic car fraternity.

2019 information - The Plett ARTS Festival was launched by Plett Tourism to showcase Plett’s cultural and heritage life and anchor the winter season. Plett Tourism will be handling the marketing and branding of extensive visual art exhibitions, organised and presented by the artists of Plett, in collaboration with artists and performers from Kwano. The Kids of Kurland will also be on the block with comedy at The Fringe and Emily Moon will be titillating your senses with delicious film and compelling food at the Plett Food and Film. All that is required from you is to wrap up against the chilly winter evenings, warm your cockles at the open nights of art, immerse yourself in food and film, and laugh your hearts out at The Fringe.

The KOF will once again offer a programme of unique events for sport lovers, families and adventurers with an abundance of activities spread over ten days. Due to the overwhelming success of the 2020 Virtual KOF and the global uncertainty related to COVID-19, the event organisers will add an extra element of fun to next year’s event, by hosting a hybrid event. There is something for everyone for everyone to enjoy during the action-packed line-up from performances by Lollos, local performers, kids entertainment, Strawberry Eat Offs and Redberry Farm Strawberry Stomping competitions, Mascot Parade and the Ace Models Miss Strawberry pageant. Take part in the 5km run/walk or 9km trail run through the strawberry and kiwi fields. Fitness fanatics can flex their muscles at CrossFit’s "Fittest in the Garden Route" challenge.
