2019 information - A three-day, family-friendly extravaganza building on the impressive successes of the Mossel Bay Municipality’s Dias Festival / Diasfees over the past 30 years. In 2019 the festival will incorporate activities aimed at celebrating the rich maritime history of the Port of Mossel Bay, South Africa’s oldest port. The action-packed Mossel Bay Dias & Port Festival programme includes a street parade, stage show with national as well as local artists, exhibitions and stalls, a beer tent, tea garden live entertainment, cultural showcases, arts and crafts markets, food stalls, children’s entertainment and numerous other family-friendly activities.

The KKNK is an Afrikaans language event with smatterings of English on the festival programme. It is known to be one of South Africa’s largest arts and culture festivals. Every year it attracts thousands of visitors and over 200 performances. 2019 information - On offer the weekend is a beautiful campsite, with excellent Ablution facilities, live Bands, a great variety of Food and Trinket Stalls, Big Screen TVs’ as well as great prizes for rider and pillion. This is a Motorcycle only rally - no cars will be permitted into the camping area. On Saturday, show and shine bikes will arrive at Garden Route Casino’s main parking area at 11h00 for a public exhibition, allowing guests to admire the motorbikes and interact with the owners. This will be followed by a thrilling stunt show by The Le Riche Brothers, which kicks off at 12h00. And for those who want even more, guests can look forward to gastronomic delights, delicious beverages and live music in the Casino’s popular Bravo Lounge.

This is the third year visitors can explore the Park's routes guided by SANParks' Honorary Rangers, Wilderness Region. This year there are three options participants can select, all available for two days. Each route leads through the national park's unique dramatic landscape of indigenous forest, spectacular views and fynbos. The routes are expected to take participants along "roads less travelled" through Karatara Forest, Windmeulnek to Platbos and Goudveld Forest, enjoying the spectacular views of the Outeniqua Mountains along the way.

The inaugural SANParks week was held in 2006. It was aimed at linking the South African national parks system to the global national movement and to also showcase the best of South Africa’s national parks. Since its inception in 2006; national parks week has seen an influx of over 130 000 day visitors in all participating parks. The week grants free access to most of the 21 national parks for day visitors, especially people from the local communities. However, it does not include free access to accommodation facilities and other tourist activities.

2019 information - Plett Rage is the longest running and arguably largest student festival in the Southern Hemisphere! It caters for students that are celebrating the end of high school, and includes beach events, sports competitions, brand activations and SA’s top music acts. Plett Rage unofficially started off as a few hundred students migrating to Plett for a few days in the early 80’s for good times and to celebrate the summer. Fast forward to today and Rage is now days of partying at awesome festival venues, 300 staff to help you and of course 15,000 of your fellow students rocking it out to the biggest and best of SA’s live and electronic music scene.
