2022 information - The race works much like a raffle, where racers purchase a number. Each of the little yellow plastic ducks has a number. The idea is for the tide and wind to encourage the ducks to ‘swim’ along the water canal under the bridge. Two heats will be held and a final race with 20 of the winners of the heats. There are great cash prizes for the first four ducks over the finish line!

World Record Attempt - the most motorbikes riding in staggered formation in a single group in support of sick children. Pediatric Care Africa is requesting all motorcycle clubs, motorcycle organisations and motorcyclists in the Western Cape, Eastern Cape and the rest of South Africa for a planned massive world record attempt motorcycle ride. To establish this record, we need a minimum of 4,500 motorcycles to ride as one group, in staggered formation, for the last 50km to Jeffreys Bay.

The Tour follows the exact route of the “Ride” and offers the same amenities. However, it provides a more relaxed experience with open chutes, opportunities to enjoy cappuccinos and lunch breaks along the way, and no timed starts. This means you can make it an all-day affair without feeling pressured. The Tour doesn’t have winners or podiums; instead, it allows you to fully immerse yourself in the paradise of mountain biking.

Participants are welcomed to engage in a tapestry of activities, from immersive workshops and storytelling sessions to captivating performances that showcase the diverse expressions of indigenous arts. The combined Triumph and MG clubs will be holding a Charity fund-raising event for owners of old cars and motorcycles. The year of the Car and Driver age combined must be 100 years or more. They will travel 100 km to complete their century. Minimum age of car for entry 20 years. Number of participants will be limited to 100 vehicles.

Journey to Jazz is an annual Karoo festival drawing inspiration from the history, art and natural environment of the Prince Albert desert. This intimate and bespoke experience offers a week of music, masterclasses, food and nature all at the foothills of the Swartberg Mountains.

2023 information - The Wilderness Art Festival 2023 will meet all expectations, with approximately 80 artists from across South Africa exhibiting and performing at three venues, The Wilderness Hotel, Palms Garden Square and Milkwood Village. Three days packed full of fun activities, livemusic, workshops, book launches and poetry. The festival and all performances are free and open to the public.
